Pearl Harbor happened in December 7, 1941 in Hawaii. The attackers were the Japanese. Pearl Harbor is what made America go to WWII. One of the famous ships that sank was USS Arizona and it was 608 feet long. It could hold 2000 people. During the attack 1,177 people died in the USS Arizona. Pearl Harbor had 97 ships during the time of the attack. The attack lasted for about two hours. Japan thought that after this attack America would become to weak to fight in World War Two. But then soon after the attack Franklin D. Roosevelt gave a powerful speech that lifted the spirit to get America into the war. It was all because of Pearl Harbor that made America go to WWII.
