The United State Geography 1

The land area of the United States is 3,531,905 square miles. The United States is between Canada and Mexico.   The percent of water in the United States is 6.76%. The land area (water not included) is 93.24%. The United States’ biggest mountain is Mt. McKinley, at 20,310 ft. The longest river in the United States is the Missouri river which is 2,341 miles long. The people of the United States do not have their own race. They have all races. The United States is a big country for immigration. The population of the US is 325,365,189. Our population makes us the third largest country (population) in the world. The capital of the United States of America is not a city, but a district, Washington D.C. The D.C. stands for District of Columbia, for Christopher Columbus. Washington is where the White House, Congress, and Supreme Court is. They all play a key role in the US government. In Washington you also find a lot of museums and monuments. The largest city in the United States of America would be New York City. The population of New York City is 8,537,673 (from 2016 estimate). The metro area of New York City is almost 17 million people. The United States is 3,145 miles long.
