Did you Know?

The did you know topic is going to be about the famous Liberty Bell. Did you know that the liberty bell was made in 1752? The bells composition is copper and Pennsylvania paid about 3000 dollars for it.The Liberty Bell was supposed to stay on the steeple on top of Independence Hall. The city the Liberty Bell is and was in  Philadelphia. Do you know that the Liberty Bell has a large crack on the side of it? The last time the Liberty Bell was rung, was for a purpose, George Washington's Birthday. The date of the last rang was February 23, 1846. If you ever look at the front of the Liberty Bell you will see this written on the front "PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT ALL THE LAND UNTO ALL THE INHABITANTS THEREOF LEV. XXV X".  This quote comes from the Bible. You can find this in Leviticus chapter 25, verse 10. The Liberty Bell is still here and it has a very long history. This piece of American History shows us that we are serious about Liberty.
