Military power of USA (Beginning)
The military of the United States is ranked, Number one of all countries. We have the largest and most powerful Navy. Also our Air force is very advanced in what they do! I will talk more about the United States military later.

Roosevelt's New Deals
The New Deal was formed in 1935. The man behind the New Deal is Franklin D. Roosevelt. At the time America was in depression a "great" one. When the Great Depression happening people wanted a change in the economy. So, soon there was going to be another election for president. Of course the man who won was Franklin D. Roosevelt. Roosevelt was president on March 4, 1933. After election he started work he got programs to make jobs and this was part of the New Deal. In two years Franklin D. Roosevelt made the Second New Deal,which was 1935. The Second New Deal was helping the first New Deal, to take work seriously. Many programs were created during the Second and First New Deal . Overall, both New Deals were created for getting people jobs.

Did you Know?
The did you know topic is going to be about the famous Liberty Bell. Did you know that the liberty bell was made in 1752? The bells composition is copper and Pennsylvania paid about 3000 dollars for it.The Liberty Bell was supposed to stay on the steeple on top of Independence Hall. The city the Liberty Bell is and was in Philadelphia. Do you know that the Liberty Bell has a large crack on the side of it? The last time the Liberty Bell was rung, was for a purpose, George Washington's Birthday. The date of the last rang was February 23, 1846. If you ever look at the front of the Liberty Bell you will see this written on the front "PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT ALL THE LAND UNTO ALL THE INHABITANTS THEREOF LEV. XXV X". This quote comes from the Bible. You can find this in Leviticus chapter 25, verse 10. The Liberty Bell is still here and it has a very long history. This piece of American History shows us that we are serious about Liberty.

Flag
I want to tell you the important meaning of the American US flag!
Red: The red strips on the flag means by numbering that the 13 strips represent the 13 colonies of the USA. Red also symbolizes hardiness and valor.
Blue: The blue part of our flag represents vigilance, perseverance, and justice.
White: White symbolizes purity and innocence. The 50 white stars represent the US 50 states.
The american flag is the most beautiful flag in all of history. Remember we are "Free because of the brave".
The person who created the flag was Betsy Ross. Betsy Ross created the original American flag with the 13 Stars.

Branches of the United States Government
The United States of America has a form of Government called Democracy. The definition of Democracy: is a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives. In order to achieve Democracy, the USA uses the 3 branches of Government to help them. Here are the three branches of the United States Government:
Legislative
Executive
Judicial
Legislative is allowed to declare war, make laws,borrow money, and regulate money. The Executive branch is allowed to enforce the laws, be commander-in-chief during war, and supervise the social and financial welfare. The Judicial branch is allowed to interpret the laws and are allowed to call laws unconstitutional or constitutional. So to summarize the branches:
Legislative- this branch makes the laws
Executive- this branch enforces the laws
Judicial- this branch interprets the laws

Did you know that the Americans were the first ones on the Moon. The date we went on the Moon was 20, July, 1969. The rocket we used to get to the Moon was called Apollo 11. The people who were in Apollo 11 were Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Micheal Collins. Today we are still trying to learn more about space. Soon we might be going to Mars. People are saying that we might live on Mars soon. Seems crazy right?

America the Beautiful
America is a nice country with a big history! America has large cities like New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angles, and many more.America is located in between Canada and Mexico. America has a large river called the Mississippi. America has lots of National Parks. The names for America is the United States of America, or USA.
